Samantha Ball - author
Hi, I’m Samantha but prefer to be called Sam.
I started my writing career at a young age when I would copy my story books and then proudly show my mum, boasting that I’d written a book. Since then, I promise everything I’ve written has been my own work! As well as writing journals – I have a trunk full of notebooks filled with my scribbles from over the years, I have had letters printed in the local paper as well as poems published in anthologies: Songs of Honour (Noble House 2006), Centres of Expression (Noble House 2007) & The Best Poems & Poet of 2007 and as much as I would love to be a full time writer, this remains a (hopefully not too far off) dream. My ‘proper’ job is within an NHS Mental Health Trust where I have worked for the past 14 years in a variety of administrative roles and in 2016, I was lucky enough to start working in the box office at The Playhouse Theatre as well. I have had a love of theatre for many years (having danced for a number of years when I was younger) – especially musical theatre – and this role allows me to share the experience of live theatre with audience members and is a role I am very passionate about. In writing this book, I have combined my passions for theatre and writing and hope you will enjoy the result of three years hard work. |
